Business Profile
Cape Archaeological Survey cc (CAS) was formed in 1990 to provide Archaeological Impact Assessments (AIA) to the construction/development community. Under the current legislative framework developers, civil engineer, town planners and environmental consultants commission archeologists to provide an evaluation of the archaeological footprint of their proposed development, prior to the planning and implementation stage of the project. CAS is able to highlight archaeological issues before they become a problem for development and translates this into a client focused service, minimizing risk and enabling development by delivering products and mitigation solutions on time and in budget.
CAS specialises in large infrastructure projects but also offers a comprehensive range of archaeological services to a broad spectrum of clients in the private and public sector, in historical, forensic archaeology, graphics and post-excavation analysis. We provide input into Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) as well as Heritage Impact Assessments (HIA).
